So another silly American holiday… Today is “Chop Suey Day” While a fan of Chinese food, I can’t really say “Chop Suey” is a favorite. I recall watching a documentary about the origin of General Tso’s Chicken aka- the history of “American Chinese Food” and Chop Suey was considered basically an American creation. Having been to China… yup, what I get at the local Chinese Buffet, isn’t anything like what the Chinese eat. Do I have a problem with this? Nope. Both are extremely tasty. OK, duck feet… not so much. Enjoy Chop Suey Day and enjoy some authentic fried rice for me.
