Yes, Sue and I decided to jump on a plane and travel to sunny Las Vegas to attend “A MINI Vacation in Vegas” aka AMVIV.  Since it is my Spring Break we are going to take some time to explore (and yes, geocache) the only problem is we are without a faithful MINI to travel with.  No matter how small people think MINI Coopers are they do NOT fit in the overhead bin or under the seat.  So we are stuck with a rental.  Could we have rented a MINI like we did in England?  Yes, but since the daily rate for a MINI is more than our hotel room we decided to just suffer through.

AMVIV (for what we were able to see) is a great event and we wish we could have arrived earlier to take in some of the drives.  The vendor area had some nice variety some with parts, and offering service, others for t-shirts, stickers, and vinyl and other stuff for the MINI or the MINI owner.  Yes, we bought some things and when we are at the Dragon at the end of April I’m sure we will buy some more things.

While we missed having our MINIs around we did have a chance to see other folks MINIs and what they have done to “You-i-fy” them.  I’ve posted my pictures of the Car Show on Flickr so check them out.

Since Ben is also on Spring Break I tried my hand at the coloring chore (Wish I had remembered my colored pencils).  I promise we will be back to normal on Monday – so if you waiting to find out what happens to Mongo I promise it won’t be resolved yet… I’m having too much fun.  Now I just have to figure out a way to keep Cecil away from the roulette wheel… although I have to say it has been hard to find them walking through row upon row of slot machines that all look like video games.

  1. Cool! 2010, I was still heavily involved in organizing AMVIV. That Indi Blue/Which MCS in the pic belongs to Sin City MINI Club member Ross Dillon.
I’m glad you enjoyed yourself here.
