I’ve been playing around with this image for a while…  I hope you like it.

There are times when draw something and I really get scared about inking it.  In most cases I’m just afraid I’m going to mess it up.  This was one of those times. You may not know this, but some cartoonists out there do everything on the computer… you mess up- you can undo.  It still takes a lot of still and practice, it is still art, but it is different than my process.  I hand draw everything and then ink it by hand, once that is done I move Hemi from his perch & scan it into the computer to add words, color, and upload it to the web.  As I get closer to starting year three the process has basically remained the same after just a few tweaks.  One of these days I might try to add a tablet so I could stop “finger painting” with just the touchpad of my old iBook.  Then again I’m used to how I create this comic and wouldn’t want to mess things up by changing things around right now.

Oh well, when we return, Cecil will finally confront the Caching Curmudgeon!  See you on Friday!

…and away we go!
