I’m heading out to class, and being the good student (who figures that if I mess up my life is on the line) has his notebook and pencil at the ready- I didn’t use them at all. The first session they go over the basics… what the various flags mean, the rules for the track, what is the best line… etc. There were specifics when it came to where to pass, and how to let the car behind you know that it was OK for them to pass. Notice what I remember…
They had set out cones to mark where you should aim to get the right apex on each turn which did help. After some of the basics they introduced us to our instructors (who had been out on the track while we had our lecture) and we headed out… but that story will have to keep until Wednesday.
