One of the first things I would ask my college students was which direction they were going in respect to teaching.  Teaching elementary school requires an entirely different set of skills than high school.  My older brother teaches middle school and we have both asked each other “How can you teach those kids every day?”  So when looking at technology who I’m dealing with and what they are considering is important.

Yes, I did have a student who was sure that once he graduated he would immediately be hired as the athletic director and head football coach somewhere.  The more I taught this class the more I was made to believe that the entire football team had been told by the coach that if they majored in education they would be able to keep the GPA needed to stay on the team… sadly this was not true for my class.
