As I was reminded last night at the Indy Webcomics Group’s meeting/party there are multiple ways to give, money is just one way. (Thank you Mike- can’t wait to see your comic on philanthropy it sounds fantastic) Cecil of course has done the math and realized that the quickest route to changing his image is money… (I actually know some people who have done that- sad but true). Don’t post requests for donations here- Sue really is a fundraiser and we have a limited pot devoted to causes that we support. I have found besides the “usual suspects” I have been supporting some projects on Kickstarter. The latest being Christian Scott Sava’s- The Dreamland Chronicles. Sue does a little through Kiva, but then again I don’t claim any expertise in this… I just help where I can for causes that I think are good- shouldn’t we all? It doesn’t mean just money, maybe all you can give is your time, or sharing a skill you have. Hmmm… I gave some original comics to Ryan’s MINI Adventure, and I will be doing a cartoon for the Exotic Feline Rescue Center… See you don’t have to have a multi-billion dollar foundation to make a difference.
