Yes, this conversation did kind of happen. As for “You know your (mother/father)” yes, they did say that. After almost 50 years of marriage it is interesting to watch (or hear) how they interact. My mother rolls her eyes at things my father does, & my dad does things because he “knows” my mother will get “angry” if he doesn’t. She then rolls her eyes again and says she doesn’t know why he did that. Again, I do love my Mom & Dad, there are just some things that make me go “huh?”

Some times it’s interesting to see what my parents do with the technology they have… like I have said my dad loves technology so he ends up with stuff that is just amazing… so he can print out photos, and write nasty notes to the city council. ๐Ÿ™‚ One of these days I’ll have to relate in greater detail what happens when I try to help show them all they could do during a visit.

Now to be honest, Cecil did ask about the “dead” MacBook Pro. Funny, I’ve ended up with more than a few bits & bobs from my parent’s discarded computers which have helped me keep my own computers running for a few years past their expiration date (I’m still using Photoshop Elements 3 & OS 10.4).

  1. You’ve also quoted my parents. In some cases, almost word for word. He constantly refers to me as “his computer guru” & any family visit degenerates when he says “While your here, I need you to look at something…..”

I’m sure my 19yr-daughter rolls her eyes & feels the same way when I ask her about “today’s” music, tattoos/piercings, etc. I tried to play some games on her Xbox & it was like watching my Dad on my old Atari 2600! ๐Ÿ˜‰
