So here starts an arc that will be lacking in details, but is something I have promised to cover at some time.  I’m hoping like Herge who did Tin Tin that I someday will be famous enough to have minions redo all of this early work and make it much better.

So Sir Alec Issigonis designs the Mini… I could go into all the details but it happened leaks and all.  Owning a classic Mini (even of a later vintage) is has been interesting when you drive through a rather deep puddle and wish that (like Alec) you had a pair of Wellies in the car with you.  The original Mini was built at two different plants (Longbridge & Cowley) and did go under two names.  Like car companies today some times people have brand loyalty… Owning three Mini (or MINI) Coopers I have no idea what they are talking about.  SO for the Morris fans was the Mini-Minor and for the Austin fans the Se7en.  I know I’m missing big chunks throughout this history, but it more for the basic MINI owner so that they understand that the car they are driving does actually have 50 years of history behind it. Next some guy named John Cooper starts mucking about with the Mini… by week’s end we might need to deal with tragedy, controversy, and lighting.
