NO, I’m not bitter.  The school calendar is not flexible.  I knew that going into teaching.  “You get Summer off” is a fallacy.  Unless you know a teacher you wouldn’t understand.

As for MINI United, we were all set on attending until they announced the dates.  I guess I just didn’t think flying all the way to the South of France for a weekend was the best use of money for me.  Sadly, MINI United is the event that started this comic.  If it wasn’t for MINI United in 2009 I don’t know if my proposal would have been time sensitive enough to get funding and then I would have been without a reason to get the strip started.  So I will be forever grateful for the opportunity (life changing opportunity?) to attend.  I will do it again, I just need my calendar to match.  To all my friends out there- I’m jealous, but hope you have a wonderful time.

As for other MINI events- we just got back from MINIs on the Dragon and because MINIUSA consulted my school district’s calendar…  MINI Takes the States will fit perfectly in the summer so I can attend the entire event.  An event that this year will be a cross country rally from New York to Los Angeles.  Look for more details as I figure out where I’m staying on the road and what I’m doing.
