Instead of discussing the first day of school- (which went very well) I thought I would take today and celebrate a great annual geocaching event- Moonshine 2009 (GC1V2B7). Like all geocaching events it is grassroots, in this case Cybret of Geocacher-U. For those who don’t know about Moonshine… it takes place at the Moonshine Store in Moonshine, IL population 2. Moonshine is home to the best burger in the world (in my opinion), and Helen turns off the grill at 12:30. On the Saturday of Labor Day, over 1,000 burgers were served to hungry geocachers, a lot more than drew. Now the funny thing, Sue and I with our GPS ended up getting lost in rural Illinois as the county roads turned to gravel then to dirt then to… We did find Moonshine and had a great time- can’t wait for next year.

Next week… our first field trip.
