Hopefully, by the time this posts my “Ensign Ricky” will arrive from Anovos, this will allow me to actually cosplay (kind of) at cons, or at least have a really cool Halloween costume.  When you go to a Comic Con (or GenCon) one of the cool things is to see how creative people are with costuming.  Morgan Spurlock’s File about ComicCon does a great job of looking at the detail and engineering that goes into costuming.   It is a nice film I just wish it even had a small section devoted to the Eisner Awards…

As for costumes I have seen many fantastic pieces.  Steampunk wheelchairs, Godzillas, a range of stormtroopers & Jedi, everything under the sun.  Then you have the spandex group… Some are very well done, some are people who should never, ever be seen in spandex.  I am glad they are that passionate about a certain character and that comfortable with their bodies to put so much on display… but yes- if Cecil was in spandex- maybe it would go differently.

Paparazzi… Please?
