Hmm…  Carry the one.  Yes, that does seem about right.  While a little late I’d like to welcome you to My Geek Odyssey’s official strip # 300.  As for the math I don’t count the first two things posted as part of the comic- the first was a place holder and the second was a test comic to see how ComicPress worked.  There are milestones and there are milestones.  I know that in a few years I will look back and think of 300 comics as a small goal, but today, I am proud of the accomplishment.  I don’t know if you had told me in February of 2009 when I learned about my fellowship that I would have done 300 comics before the second anniversary of the strip, what my reaction would have been. Shocked disbelief? I would have probably laughed.  So how did I get here? Hard work, perseverance, a tenacious desire to create… nah!  Mostly the support of a wonderful wife.  Sue leaves me alone when I’m working and does a lot to give me the chance to doodle in my studio every couple days.  I know there are times when she wishes I wasn’t grumbling about scanners, deadlines, analytics, and the like.  Or those endless nights on the road where I’m drawing until the wee hours of the morning while she is trying to get some sleep…  Without Sue I would have given up along time ago.  Happy 300!  and here’s to next 300!
