OK- I’ve made it pretty clear that flying isn’t my thing… It makes me nervous, I deal with it, but when it comes to my favorite things to do… I like to travel I like seeing new places, I just have difficulty with the getting there part.

That said the routing airlines do is an amusing game… like chess- if I move this knight to this spot in 12 moves I’ll be able in position to checkmate.  To get to Seattle we first flew to Memphis… yes we flew South to go North.  TO get home we flew to Cincinnati- we flew OVER our house then waited in the airport for two hours to get on our plane.  Anyone know how long it takes to drive to Cincinnati?  If our car had been there we could have driven and made it home sooner.  I know it all has something to do with economics (and voodoo) but it just seems funny.  Sue and I have gotten into the habit of driving to Chicago if we are traveling overseas just because flights into O’Hare from Indy tend to get delayed and then we miss our International flight (it’s hasn’t happened, internationally, but we have had some close calls).  That and after everything you have to go through it does seem to take just as much time to drive as it does to fly.

On the technical side of this strip I thought I would just repeat the same image (embracing my inner Warhol or something).  My impression was this would save time… Note to self:  next time just draw out each panel- working in Photoshop can be more time consuming.
