As Sue and I were exploring one section of Honolua Bay, my older brother and his son were out in another part. We saw numerous fishes and really enjoyed just taking it all in, leisurely. After we got out of the water to just relax a little before heading off to the nearby geocache (there’s always a cache nearby). My brother drags himself out and announces that he has lost his driver’s license while following some sea turtles. His concern (and in this day & age of heightened security a valid one) was how was he going to get on plane home?
When I travel by plane I tend to bring my passport just to make it a little easier getting through security. I don’t need to get out my wallet, I tuck my boarding pass into my passport and save what must be seconds of hassle. The funny part is he was told that if he had his Social Security card they would accept that as ID… the Social Security card that (last I looked) said something like not to be used as ID and do not carry with you. Go figure!
