So I go out and volunteer to take pictures at one of Sue’s Fundraising Galas… It was not a pretty site. I do like to take pictures and some of them are pretty good (if I do say so myself), but dealing with people really reminds me why I lock myself in my studio and draw or just go out and take pictures of things that can’t talk. Yes, I know the safety guy at the track yells about me about how I’m going to die in a crash if I keep taking pictures from some places I tend to- but I’m not taking pictures of him. Here I was asked to capture the event and get some pictures of people enjoying themselves… I could do take with a bunch of candid shots, but I did need some posed photos. It was like everyone I asked didn’t want anyone to know they were there. I almost wanted to check to see if they actually had tickets or if they had gotten all dressed up and slipped in through the back to get some free food. I finally gave up and decided the silent auction items wouldn’t complain.
