A few years ago Sue and I decided to take a look at joining a golf club… Sue started playing golf around the same time she started to walk.  I remember when we started dating and I went to meet her family-  I was a little confused when almost every family friend I met asked me about my golf game.  I think they were just as confused when I said I had never played golf. So we looked around and a little local course caught our eye.

The interesting thing about the healthy sport of golf is that in this case the clubhouse was probably the most unhealthy place in the universe.  Indiana doesn’t have any broad legislation dealing with smoking in eating establishments, it seems to be up to each municipality.  I know of one county where they passed a smoke free restaurant & bar ordinance and one place became a “private” club to avoid it. While I am not a militant non-smoker I do at least feel I have a choice and for me it is nice going to places that are non-smoking.  Again, no problem if you want to smoke, we just probably won’t be eating in the same places…  I really don’t like smelling like a stereotypical pool hall when I get home.
